Hurricane Harvey – Now What?

We know this disaster has hurt our region, but it won’t stop us. We are Texans, and Texans don’t stop in the face of adversity, we shine – together.   Hurricane Harvey, Now What?   Update As of today, Wednesday August 30th, our Core Mechanical team is back in operation. Our offices are 85% staffed and a large number of our team members are already on the road this morning helping to bring our clients’ restaurants and facilities back online. We are doing everything in our power to get you restored. Our offices were not damaged, but several of our employees’ and their families’ homes were. Additionally, there are a great number of roadways in the area that are still closed and impassable. We ask for your patience and support as we all work together to recover from Hurricane Harvey and the tremendous flooding that has brought this region to a standstill.   Here are a few things you should consider in the wake of the storm:   Don’t start equipment that has been under water unless you know what you are doing. There is a potential for water damage or electrical shorts which can cause your system to fail even further if not dealt with prior to restarting. Unrecognized electrical issues could also result in physical harm. Out of town contractors are coming into Houston for work. Think twice before doing business with them. They may not be here to take care of warranty or other issues long term, leaving you to fend for yourself. Make sure any HVAC/R contractor that approaches you can show you a valid...

However, many supervisors realize this is nearly impossible for staff to remember and many times, entries could easily be logged as a group and guessed at.
